Product Sourcing: The Web’s Important Role for Retailers – Internet Retailer

Internet Retailer 2008

Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition 2008 explores every aspect of what it will take for retailers to succeed in the new, more competitive environment, including such issues as making sure your corporate investments are going to the right channels in the right proportions, how to break down the corporate barriers that prevent cooperation among channels, how to prepare for the new demanding customers who expect fast web sites and fast order delivery, how to deepen your use of online marketing tools and how to determine if new methods are worth the investment, how to analyze whether that Web 2.0 initiative is right for your web site, how to make sure that technology implementations won’t trip you up and how to find the right staff to help you grow.

Why can’t the product of two different natural prime numbers ever be a perfect square?

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Don’t give me an answer that has something to do with the definition of what a perfect square is – example: "Because a perfect square is the product of a number times itself, not product of two DIFFERENT numbers!"

Please list sources if not your mind.

There are two types of squares, those that are the product of two prime number (25 = 5^2) and those that are the product of composite numbers (36 = 6^2)

We can toss out numbers like 25, because they are only the product of two equal primes. There’s nothing else we can fit in there. There are no other factors.

Now 36 is a product of not just 6 and 6, but also things like 2 and 18, 3 and 12, and 4 and 9. The reason is that 6 = 2 * 3, so 36 = 2^2 * 3^2, and we can manipulate those factors in other ways.

But notice that in each of those pairs, at least one number is not prime. For example, given the factor pair 3 and 12, 3 is a prime and 12 is not.

Let’s imagine that there are two prime numbers, a and b, that when multiplied equal a prime number, x. Then there is another number c such that c^2 = x.

Then c^2 = a * b. And how can that be true unless the factors of c are also factors of a and b, in other words that at least a or b is not prime?

Can someone give me a link or a good source where I can see an example of a Product Specification?

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Im doing a project for school and we have to do specs on various foods on a menu of a resturaunt. Im looking for an example of "specs" so i have one to work off of.

Go to Chevrolet .com on the left you see cars trucks etc… click on anything, trucks for example. Then click on Avalanche. Then a little to the right you click on Standard and optional . Then a little lower you see a tab that says specifications. Then you can choose Fuel economy, dimensions, capacities, etc…. and there you have it. Hope it helps

Why is it that the people who insist that gender is an exclusively biological product never have any proof?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

They insist over and over that science has "proven" this when there is no credible evidence for it?

Here is my challenge:
Can anyone find credible evidence from an authoritative source stating that gender is soley (or overwhelmingly) the product of biology?

Why would social scientists differenciate between SEX and GENDER if the two are interchangeable?

The both of you are wrong. Gender isn’t exclusively biological, but it isn’t exclusively social either..

Gender is both biological and social.

How do I find a product to sell at conventions, trade shows, etc?

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I want to sell a product at things like trade shows, or theme shows (like home shows, or any sort of themed event.) as an idependent businessman. How can I find someone who might be looking for a person like me to do that? I do not need to make a lot of money as I have another income source. So, I want something that I can work at at my own pace. I do not want to be employed by a company. I want to be independent. I can afford to buy a supply of products and begin marketing it on my own. I just need to find out how to locate that person or company that would allow me to sell the product. I assume you can buy in bulk and then set your own profit margine. Does anyone out there know how this might be done?

Hey,

I recently was in the same situation. I actually got a hold of a company that sells dvd pallets in bulk, like brand new dvds, usually between 50 and 100 for $199-$299, its a small investment, but I made my money back with just selling them for $9.99 which people think is a steal…if you want my suppliers email contact me @ musicmanagementinc@Yahoo.com

What will be the effect of extracting the gas & petrolium product from the earth?

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

The human is continuously extracting the gas & petrolium product from the internal part of earth surface. Have anybody think over the creation of cavity inside of earth surface, may cause sliding of earth structure or movement of earth or motion of earth around the sun. I feel, It should happen but not able to capture it. Is there any literature over it or is it going blindly because we don’t have the alternative sources of efficient energy.

The earth isnt incredibly likely to collapse. The fluid is pressurized, and below a certain pressure it becomes economically unfeasible to extract the oil. The cavity is still "full".

Some advanced methods involve pumping water into the "cavity" to cause the oil pressure to rise. Again, this isnt leaving a true unpressurized cavity.

Finally, the matter extracted, while large in human terms, is very small in terms of mass of the earth. All that matter was theoretically on the surface at one time, so if putting it from underground to aboveground changes the movement of the earth, then putting it underground in the first place also should have changed the movement.

What is the best product t use to get online donations from friends?
I’m going to be rasing money for an adventure I’m going on. Part of the funds will be going to charity, part are to help with personal fees. Friends from all over the globe are eager to help fund my adventure, but I don’t know what electronic medium to use. Paypal has an easy button for a webpage, but they charge a lot of money. Do you know a trusted source that is cheaper? THANKS!

I didn’t know Paypal charged, but that’s probably the best.
