I work for a small business and we are looking to discontinue our relationship with our current website host. Our current host provides us limited access to website changes and charges us for any changes they perform for us. We are looking for a new host that offers design software and gives access to change the look and feel of the site. We also need an e-Commerce site linked to our main site. Since future website maintenance staff within our company may not be familiar with website creation software, we have opted not to use Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc. Any recommendations?

If you purchased domain and hosting same time from the same provider, it is possible they make the necessary configuration to activate your domain and hosting. But if you purchased domain and hosting from different providers then you need to change the NS records of your domain pointing to your hosting server.
