I work for a small business and we are looking to discontinue our relationship with our current website host. Our current host provides us limited access to website changes and charges us for any changes they perform for us. We are looking for a new host that offers design software and gives access to change the look and feel of the site. We also need an e-Commerce site linked to our main site. Since future website maintenance staff within our company may not be familiar with website creation software, we have opted not to use Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc. Any recommendations?

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH web hosting which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

You can reach reviews about this web hosting provider and its latest DISCOUNT COUPONS at:

http://www.threehosts.com/reviews/1st

Only $3.95 /month (with discount coupon)

******IMPORTANT********
* This service was awarded the “Best Web Hosting OF The Year”.

Hope this helps.

well even though there are hundreds of different website companies I found that using the right website hosting provider can really benefit your website. I found Your Way Web Hosting to have a great free and paid hosting service that is really easy to use and administer. plus they also offer website builders, auto installers, and email, all with a free account.

I paid for a domain name a few years back, but failed to renew it and closed the account later. Now I’m wishing I’d kept it and want to see if I can get it back. No one is using it, as far as I can tell (and it’s pretty obscure), but it comes up as "unavailable" when I search at Yahoo domains (where it was originally registered) and GoDaddy. What are my options?

Hey Allison, it’s entirely possible that we still have control of your domain and we’d like to see you get it reactivated if we can help. Without telling us the domain name, there’s no way to be sure that we have that power. So we recommend trying this option first: try reactivating directly using the steps outlined here (http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/billing/billing-15.html).

Failing that, give us a call at 866-781-9246, available Mon.–Fri., 7 a.m.–5 p.m. PT and we will dig in and see what we can do to help!

I’ve heard a few websites that are able to help you build an online store with a online store builder of course I know that I’ll need my own products to sell, but I really need a website that can sell and accept money from my viewers.

It’s easy to build a online store nowadays. There is a lot of information about creating a online store at http://simplewebsitemaking.com/money/build-online-store.html or better yet use hostpany’s service http://hostpany.com/ Do you see where it says "Build online store" as a banner? Click that and than watch the video demo to see if you like it before trying it out.

How do i set my hosting and domain together?
Ive never owned a website before?

If you purchased domain and hosting same time from the same provider, it is possible they make the necessary configuration to activate your domain and hosting. But if you purchased domain and hosting from different providers then you need to change the NS records of your domain pointing to your hosting server. If you make the situation clear I can better help.

Hi! I bought a domain name for my small business the other day and am ready to begin building my website. However, I’m a little stuck in finding a good, reputable web host that is free and will allow me to use the already purchased domain name. Storage and size are not an issue – most of my images will be hosted off-site anyways. Any suggestions, Yahoo community?

I have a site that offers unlimited web hosting all for free. No doubt you can add your own domain name too.
Check here http://www.musicbid.co.cc/2011/05/free-unlimited-web-hosting-with-cpanel.html to get free web hosting and http://www.meronagar.com is a site hosted in this free domain.See example.
This will help you for free as this is add free.

After all the negotiations, how does the buy actually get the new domain name?

Depends on how you bought it. For instance if you used GoDaddy auctions, all their transactions over a certain price automatically go through an Escrow service ie. a third party takes control of the domain and takes your money – then they give your money to the seller and pass on the domain to you.
Otherwise, you need to be able to trust the seller to hand the domain over (This is why Escrow services are used). The simplest way I can think of is that the owner tells his registrar that he is going to move the domain to your registration service. I think they will then issue him with a release code. You go to your registration service (I use 1and1 internet) and tell them you want to add this domain to your account. They will ask if you are entitled to take control of it – it should be a simple process of giving them the release code and they will transfer it to your account.
After that you can do what you want with it….
Not done this myself, but have registered plenty of domains from scratch, and transferred my own domains to different registration services.

I don’t really expect you people to give me step by step instructions, but a website that gives reliable information. I would prefer it if you have built one using instructions from this website, but I am not being too picky. Yeah, I need too do something fun this summer other than just slave over homework.
I have googled it, but I rather know someone who already built the telescope using this website so I am sure that it works. It would also be great if it the instructions call for cheaper materials, because I don’t want to mow my neighbors’ lawns for life.

One of the seminal books about building telescopes is Richard Berry’s "Build Your Own Telescope".

http://www.amazon.com/Build-Your-Telescope-Richard-Berry/dp/0943396697

Shop around on line and you should find a used copy fairly cheap.

The other thing is, how much of the scope do want to build yourself? Do you want to grind out your own mirror, or just the scope’s infrastructure? Grinding your own mirror might take the summer to do, but it does teach you a bunch about optics.

http://www.willbell.com/tm/index.htm

http://www.willbell.com/ATMSupplies/ATM_Supplies.htm

Another option is to find a used dob and rebuild it. Hunt down garage or estate sales and try find something that has a decent mirror (might need to be recoated), but is otherwise either worn out or otherwise unused. You still may need to build the scope up, but the key basic parts (the glass) is already made. If you come across an older scope with the name "Coulter" on it, it is worth getting, just for the glass alone. Coulter was one of the first commercial dobs on the market. Horrible design (took forever for the glass to cool off), some really good, well ground glass otherwise.

A hybrid approach might also be to buy a kit that you put together. Don’t know the lead times for orders, but this way, all the major wood cutting is done for you but you still need to build the critter.

http://www.astrosystems.biz/telekits.htm

Finally, there is the classic John Dobson design that started it all -
