how do I get a catchy domain name at a good price?
I keep looking for catchy domain names, but there all taken and are really expensive. I need to know where I can find a catchy domain name at a good price.
Hi,
Your right most are gone, and unfortunately a lot of them are not even being used! If you find one you like and its not being used, look at the expiry date. Could not be far off. Make sure you get it when it becomes available again. slot of people buy them thinking they will make them big bucks and then dont renew them, so they become available to thepublic domain. check www.nominet.org.uk for info and to check domain status.
You can buy already registered domains at http://www.sedo.co.uk/ good place to bid for them!
Aother than that you need to be clever with what your trying to achieve. Remeber you can use the – character in domains and sometimes it looks better than not putting a space in.

Here are some I have recently brought:
jellydeal.co.uk
trafficbox.net
loose-joose.co.uk
etc..
Jellydeal took weeks to figure out and get, just time juggling what you want and what you can get.
hope it helps!

You really have to use your imagination. It’s true that many catchy names are taken, but if you spend some time being creative, you will come up something good. As they say, "think outside the box". Once you think you have it, you can get a free website, with your domain name, if you know where to look:

If you go here http://bwt.myorderbox.com/anacreon/?&redirectpage=%2F%3F and look at the upper left-hand corner of the page, there’s a place where you can test out different names to see if they are taken. If/when you finally find one that you like, use the same page to purchase it.

Domain names cost around $20/yr and are only limited by your imagination…there’s about 9 billion yet to be created, from just words/phrases under 15 letters long, in the english language.
The "Catchy" domain names you’ve seen for sale around the Net are just guys sitting home in their dirty underpants, gobbling up any clever name they can think up…for about $20/yr each. Be insulted that someone tries to sell you their ‘catchy’ domain name for …what? Several hundred or several thousand dollars…
There is no bargin for these domain names…they’re owned by folks in the Domain Name Business to make money.
You’ll be better served by letting your creativity flow a bit, and developing your own inspired domain name(s).
