I’m looking for a place to get a domain name but I want to pay on a month to month basis. What site does that?
I’ve never seen a monthly option for domain registration – they’re commonly less than $10/yr.
Monthly fees are more for hosting and other services.

I am trying to build a website for my arts company. I have had somebody do the design, and I need to build it using WordPress, which I have already installed in my web host. Should I use a customisable template? Is there a template that is truly customisable that you could recommend? I am not that familiar with HTML but I would be willing to learn… I just don’t know where to go from here.

Hope this helps.

Many ppl build website for their business, service etc.But can anyone build website to earn through it…plz guide me fully and tell minimum investment for starting a good website which generate some earning.
The number of financially successful websites far outweighs those which don’t make any money. Professionals try because of the possible rewards, it’s like buying a lotto ticket.

I purchased a domain name and im ready to start my business and than i get an email saying that that name is now trademaked. So what can I do without giving into there demands.
When you purchase a domain name from an online registrar, this guarantees that you will be the sole user of that name for as long as you keep it registered. So every year you need to renew the registration to be the sole owner of the domain name.

I am going to start an online store to generate profit obviously. I need to use web design to build my store. Where can I find a guide on how to build an online store? I am a graphic designer but I am not highly knowledgeable about web design. However, I can follow directions and/or guide to build the online store. I don’t want to pay a service monthly to build and design my online store. I want to do it myself. Please help!
@Jesse – Who do you recommend for building my store?
I need to be straight up honest with you: this is beyond your expertise. Building an e-commerce site (especially a custom one, as I’m sure you would want – as you’re a graphic designer) is advanced web design. You can integrate existing technologies (like Paypal or Google Checkout) into a basic web design without a ton of trouble, but your site is going to look like every single other site on the PLANET that was designed by the owner or the kid next door. In order to be successful in this kind of venture, you have to stand out – and to stand out, you HAVE to spend the money up front for a legitimate site. It needs to be well designed, cleanly coded and most important, it needs to be built from the ground up with SEO (search engine optimization) in mind. Otherwise, your customers will never even find you.
If you absolutely MUST do this yourself, I beg you: EDUCATE YOURSELF FIRST. The last thing the web needs is another clumsily hobbled together homegrown e-commerce site. Do it right, and I’ll be the first person at your store. Do it wrong, and I’ll roll my eyes and sigh – your choice!
UPDATE ////////////////////
I would recommend seeking out a local developer in your area. Since you’re already a graphic designer, feel free to design the site yourself – just don’t try to code it. Most web developers don’t like design anyway – they would prefer to tinker around with the backend and let you decide the visual look for the site. Personally (as a freelancer myself) I encourage folks to go with freelancers, but be absolutely sure to ask for references before you hire one. Some folks are freelancers bc they are really good, and some are freelancers because they can’t get hired anywhere else.

how much does it cost for a joomla or wordpress programmer to help me.
Someone said WordPress is "not a true CMS" – lol at that person.
You can use either. If your requirements are pretty basic, like a small number of products and simple inventory management needs, WordPress will work fine and it is the easiest to set up and administer. Joomla is more robust when it comes to ecommerce plugins but you will find two issues with it, one being it has a bit more of a learning curve for you to administer yourself, and the other that most of the really useful plugins are not free so you end up having to buy plugins to get your shop up to speed.
How much would it cost to have a programmer help you? I’ll do a WordPress store for you FOR FREE. It would be just an exercise for me to bring up a new WP based store with all the latest plugins. Contact me and we’ll talk about it.

how many pages should be there in a website minimum and maximum and how many paragraph and how many word and how many lines and and seo how many words and in a page how many is limited and that site should be approved in google adsense legally and guys if any know send me details am very thank full to you??? or mail me any ebook is there also to this mail id abbhas2003@gmail.com,abbhas2003@yahoo.co.in
1 page min, infinity max.
No min for words or paragraphs on any page, but the more you have on the page the better the adsense code can read the theme of your site and thus decide the most suitable ads to place on your pages.
