decide on what you want to sell. lets say ipods. find out who the manufacturer is: that would be apple. contact apple and ask to talk to a sale rep tell the sells rep you are interested in selling their product in your "store" and if you can buy wholesale. most likely they'll say no because they are more interested in selling in HUGE quantities. but its ok just ask them for the contact info for there distributor/wholesaler. there you go now you can contact the wholesaler and buy products to sell on ebay.

be prepared to show them your tax id/wholesale license/resale license to prove you are a legit business. when i talked to a wholesaler a few months ago they wouldnt even give me the wholesale prices without 1st faxing my tax id and business card.

also wholesalers make money off selling in bulk so dont think you can just buy one or two things then sell it on ebay they will most likely have a minimum quantity/money requirement to buy from them. so the amount of cash you need just depends on that specific wholesalers' minimum requirements and your business model to make a profit(the more you buy in bulk the cheaper the price per unit).

the problem that you might have encountered with the people on ebay selling stuff cheaper than you can buy it is:
1)they have more funding than you . remember what i said earlier the more money you have the higher amount you can buy. the more you buy the cheaper the price which means you can sell it for less and still profit off of it.
2)you might have checked out a place that is not a REAL wholesaler so you arent getting true wholesale prices
3)kinda ties in with number 1 but if theres too many people selling the same product you are(the market is flooded/saturated) then that will drive down the amount you can sell the item for. competition lowers prices in other words

I can source high quality genuine sheepskin teddy bears. I do modified Tambo Teddies. Tambo Teddies are high quality but sometimes require better finishing touches.

You could make clothes for them. Do search on Tambo Teddy clothes prices. Very expensive.

You could also make up gift baskets with your teddy.

If you wanted to you could get people to pay take the risk of having the teddies sent directly to the client and have a cod arrangement where you pay teddies by visa and customer pays you COD. Or better still have delivery company arrange payment to you and wholesaler.

You should start off small buy one bear and auction it off. You could even buy and modify the bear after you get a secure order and put cost on visa and pay before visa is due.

If you are clever you could run with no initial cost but build up capital to use later.

Make sure you start off with limited edition range. Make up special numbered tags and sign a name on the bears.

It would be easy to photoshop hundreds of differently dressed bears and only make the outfits if ordered.

Email my teddy bear gromwald@yahoo.com

I have over 300 teddy bears myself, 2 of them are Tambo Teddies.

Tambo Teddies generally wear Australian Clothes. You could make a Texas or HipHop range for USA market.

If you like I could buy your first bear for you and we could pay me back after it is sold.

You should retail your bears about $250 US to make a good profit. The unclothes bears are about $150 US including delivery if you spend $20 for materials you get $80 profit for making bear clothes. With practice should only take you a few minutes to make clothes.

Numbers are rough but bear outfits usually retail $100 per bear, and cost about $15 to make.

-----------------

Other product that sell well are repaired plasma screens, and vibrators.

I have a friend that wholesales kinky stuff like vibrators. All you need do is get the orders he would probably be able to organize delivery.
